Frequently Asked Questions About The E-Meditations:

Q. How does David know exactly what I need to hear?

Many people do write in amazed at how relevant these E-meditations are to their specific situation. David simply says he writes what God shares with him. God uses David in this way to meet the needs of those reading the E-meditations.

Q. What denomination are you associated with?

Independent, non-denomination. David simply uses God's Word, not man-made creeds.

Q. Why does the number of subscribers fluctuate?

Obviously when people subscribe the number increases. However, people do change their e-mail addresses often and many times old e-mail addresses become invalid addresses and must be deleted. People move, change or quit jobs and so we are constantly adding as well as removing addresses. This causes the number of subscribers to flucuate up and down.

Q. What version of the Bible does David use?

Typically David uses the New International Version of the Bible. He is a graduate of Lincoln Christian College and has studied the original languages of the Bible which is reflected in many E-meds.

Q. Is David an ordained minister?

David began pastoring in the fall of 1981 and was ordained into the ministry in 1982

Q. Does David really send out the E-Meds at 3:00 a.m.? How does all that
work?

After an E-med is written, it is posted into what we call the server's launch pad. The subscribe and unsubscribe functions as well as the sending out of the E-meds are all automated. The E-meds are posted in advance and sent out at the proper time automatically.

Q. Sometimes extra characters appear in my E-med, characters like &#8217
What causes this?

The E-meds are prepared in a word processor program which assists in identifying grammar and spelling errors. After that, the E-meds are then copied as a text file and posted into the server. Occasionally, human error fails to save the E-med as a text file, and it then contains word processing coding that is unfortunately visual in the E-med.

Q. I'd like to visit where David preaches. What do I do?

David has pastored at the Homer Church of Christ since May 1995 which is located in Homer, Illinois. Everyone is welcome to worship with the church family at any time. Services begin with Bible Study at 9:30 a.m. Morning celebration begins at 10:30 a.m. Homer, Illinois is located half way between Champaign and Danville, Illinois.

Q. Does Fresh Wind ministry pay salaries?

Presently, Fresh Wind does not pay anyone and if God continues to bless this ministry with such wonderful volunteers that will probably stay the same. However, as the ministry grows, that will probably need to be revisited.

Q. Does David receive money from Fresh Wind, such as a salary?

No. Presently not only does David not receive a salary from Fresh Wind, he also declines any royalties from materials and resources he prepares.

Q. I want to help! Where and how can I donate to Fresh Wind?

Currently Fresh Wind has reached a place of many open doors of ministry, especially with a Bible study on CD which we are sending out free. However, the cost for replication is expensive. Fresh Wind is praying for people to be moved by God to contribute to this ministry in a significant way so that we can continue to grow and enlarge our outreach.
